ABOUT Mesa & Shalom
Mesa & Shalom are two vibrant community centers within the United Mashadi Jewish Community of America (UMJCA), serving as key cultural, educational, and social hubs. Their mission extends beyond programming – they exist to foster belonging, preserve tradition, and strengthen intergenerational connection within
the Mashadi Jewish community.
With an expanding member base and an active calendar
of events, both centers sought a modernized digital and visual presence that could reflect their shared values while engaging
a new generation of members.
The Opportunity
Mesa and Shalom – two community centers within the United Mashadi Jewish Community of America (UMJCA) – set out to modernize their digital presence while preserving their sense of heritage and belonging. The goal was to create cohesive, purpose-driven materials that honor tradition and engage a new generation across web, social media, and print. This effort centered on three priorities: Digital Modernization, updating the websites with clear information and engaging visuals; Community Engagement, designing materials that unite members around events and holidays; and Unified Visual Identity, building a consistent aesthetic that strengthens recognition and connection.

Plus972 partnered with Mesa and Shalom to create an integrated creative framework that combined web design, graphic storytelling, and community-focused communications. The redesigned websites for both centers reflected each community’s unique spirit through modern, user-friendly design emphasizing accessibility, cultural warmth, and clear navigation. Cohesive visual identities extended across social media, with custom Instagram templates and assets that celebrated holidays, events, and milestones while maintaining a consistent online presence. Additionally, Plus972 developed print and event collateral – including the Mesa Rosh Hashanah Booklet and Shalom Tu Bishvat Booklet – that blended meaningful cultural storytelling with contemporary design, bridging tradition and modern visual culture.
THE IMPACT
The collaboration elevated Mesa and Shalom’s visual identity and digital communications, strengthening community awareness and engagement across all platforms. The results included an enhanced digital presence through a modernized web experience that highlights community values, programs, and events; a cohesive brand expression with unified design across web, print, and social channels that reinforces recognition and trust; and empowered engagement through creative tools and templates that support ongoing event promotion and cultural celebration.
