General Description

The UI/UX Designer’s role focuses on developing user interfaces for applications, websites, mobile devices, and other digital products through wireframing, research, and various design methodologies. Ideal candidates should have strong attention to detail, meet strict deadlines, and demonstrate proficiency with design software and platforms.
The UI/UX Designer is responsible for creating user-centered designs aimed at enhancing satisfaction and usability by improving accessibility, efficiency, and aesthetics. They conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine designs based on feedback and testing. They ensure that final designs comply with brand guidelines, industry standards, and best practices in user experience design.

Duties & Responsibilities

Research:

  • Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space;
  • Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions;
  • Participate in creating a content development strategy;
  • Coordinate with project managers and the development team on navigation, page routing, product page design, and user flows;
  • Track usability goals and prepare reports for senior management;
  • Conduct usability tests on different types of pages and refine designs based on user experience best practices.

Design:

  • Develop and maintain wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications based on user needs;
  • Collaborate with visual designers and creative directors to incorporate a visual or brand identity into the product;
  • Communicate screen designs, interaction models, end-to-end experiences, and the target audience to other members of the project team and to developers;
  • Understand the human-computer interface element of a design;
  • Compare the user experience of existing applications and design more effective and functional alternatives;
  • Conceptualize and implement visually appealing, user-friendly designs, including storyboards and process flows.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in exploring industry trends in technology and design with the development team;
  • Strong understanding of digital production workflows, including wireframing, visual design, and development handoff;
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile and web platforms, including responsive and adaptive design principles;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present concepts, ideas, and design insights to project teams and clients;
  • Familiarity with information architecture, interaction design, and industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, and Sketch.
